Statement of Faith

We subscribe to the Capetown Confession of Faith and Call to Action, and our own Statement of Faith below …

We believe in one God, Creator and Sovereign Lord of the universe, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the value and dignity of all people: created in God's image to live in love and holiness with God but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt. As such we are justly subject to God’s wrath apart from his mercy and grace provided only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

We believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God incarnate, word of God, the promised Messiah, one-of-a-kind Son of God; born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the atonement of man’s sin and rose from the dead for our justification. He ascended to heaven and intercedes for us as the only mediator between God and Man.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, promised by the Father. He has come to glorify Jesus Christ, sanctify the believer, and equip the Church to fulfill the mission of God on earth.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired word. It is our complete Statement of Faith, in matters of faith and conduct. It is without error in all its teachings, given to the Christian for guidance and edification.

We believe in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, given to His disciples to make disciples among all nations. It is the crucified and risen Christ who leads us as we seek to fulfill these commands among all peoples.

We believe in one universal multi-ethnic Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, expressed in local fellowships of people redeemed by the blood of Christ, working through each spiritually-gifted member to advance the global reign and glory of Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return personally and visibly in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgement to completion. At that time God will fully manifest His Kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and a new earth, in which He will be fully known and glorified by all forever.
